FAQ

"When do I get to see the images?"
I know how exciting it is to see your photos, so I aim to share some sneak peeks within the first few days!
For standard sessions, your full gallery usually arrives within 2–6 weeks, depending on the size and how busy my schedule is. Wedding galleries take a bit more love and time to edit, so you can expect the full collection within 4–8 weeks.
Please keep this in mind when booking if you’re hoping to have images ready for gifting or by a specific date! This way we can plan ahead and make sure everything works perfectly!
"Do You Travel?"
Absolutely, I love the chance to explore new places!
For locations more than 1 hour outside of Cessnock, NSW, a small travel fee applies for Family, Lifestyle, and Newborn sessions.
For Weddings, I will travel up-to 2 hours.
Every location is unique, so if you have a special spot in mind, just reach out, I’d love to make your vision come to life wherever it is!
"When should I book my maternity shoot?"
I’ll photograph you at whatever stage feels right in your pregnancy journey. If you’re hoping to really showcase your bump, I recommend scheduling around 32–36 weeks. This timing captures your pregnancy glow while also leaving some flexibility for rescheduling if needed.
"When should I book my Newborn Session?"
Booking a newborn session can be a little tricky since babies don’t always stick to a schedule! To make things easier, it’s best to get in touch during your pregnancy so I can pencil in your due date and plan ahead.
Once your little one arrives, just contact me and we’ll set a session date whenever you’re ready. This approach takes the pressure off and gives you time to settle into life with your newborn before stepping in front of the camera.
Newborn sessions are generally recommended within the first 0–6 weeks of life to capture those tiny, fleeting moments.
"Can you Photoshop that out?"
Yes, I can edit photos, but with some limitations. I primarily edit all my work in Lightroom Classic and take a detail-oriented approach. I will clean up backgrounds and remove temporary blemishes such as stains, bruises, or pimples.
I use Photoshop only when an image requires extra retouching, like removing distractions or occasional minor adjustments. I do not alter physical appearance or body shapes, so your unique features remain untouched. I may apply subtle skin smoothing or eye brightening, but I will never change what makes you, you.
"Do I need to pay it all up-front?"
Absolutely not! I want my clients to feel confident investing in their memories, which is why I offer flexible payment plans for all sessions.
The only upfront cost is a 10% deposit of your chosen package to secure your date. This deposit is non-refundable, but can be transferred if you need to reschedule.
"Can we reschedule?"
I will always capture your moments come rain or shine, and I’m happy to shoot in light rain or windy conditions when it makes sense for your session.
In the event of unsafe weather, illness, or other unforeseen circumstances, I’ll do my best to accommodate rescheduling. Any change of date will be subject to availability.
"How does a selection gallery work?"
For packages that include selection galleries, I will first go through all your images and create a curated shortlist of the very best shots from your session.
A quick edit will be applied for viewing purposes, but please note this is not the final edit—full retouching and adjustments will be made after you’ve made your selections. so this will require a little bit more time for me to refine, before your images are ready for download.
If you’d like more images than your package includes, you can purchase additional images or upgrade your gallery for an extra cost.
"Will you post my pictures on social media?"
I love sharing my work and behind-the-scenes moments on my socials!
If you’d prefer not to be filmed and/or your images to remain private, that’s absolutely fine—just let me know. I’ll always ask for your permission at the end of our session before sharing anything.
"Do I need to bring anything for my session?"
Short answer, no—you don’t need to bring anything!
I generally provide the basics, including blankets, benches, baskets, and wraps for newborns.
That said, I always encourage you to bring anything that will make your session uniquely yours—like ultrasounds for maternity sessions, special baby blankets, or headbands for newborns etc.
If you have a specific vision or fun idea, just reach out and I’ll do my best to make it happen! I love getting creative!
(For specialty sessions, like cake smashes or gender reveals, you’ll need to provide the main item such as a cake etc)
